The Von der Heyden Group won a prize for its Andersia Tower project in Poznań in the prestigious Construction Project of 2007 competition held by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians, the Ministry of Infrastructure, and the Main Construction Supervision Office. Andersia Tower won in the Public Utility Buildings category.
Andersia Tower recently received another prestigious regional award granted to projects in Central and Eastern Europe. It won the Best Hotel Project 2008 title in a competition organized by the Central Eastern European Property and Investment Fair and the International Herald Tribune.
Andersia Tower, with a total area of 42,668 square meters, was sold earlier this year to the DEKA Immobilien Fund for more than 80 million euros. The tower was a joint project by the Von der Heyden Group and the city of Poznań. It is located in the heart of the city, on Andersa Square.
Andersia Tower is the tallest building in Poznań. It is 102.1 meters tall and is also the first building in the city that combines hotel and office functions. The facility was leased out when it was still under construction.The office part of the building has been 100-percent rented out to house the headquarters of major companies, including Franklin Templeton Investments Poland, Ernst & Young, IKB Leasing, and Pannatoni Development. The lower nine floors house a four-star hotel with 171 rooms, suites, an executive floor, restaurants and extensive conference and catering facilities for a maximum of 80 guests, in addition to a swimming pool, a fitness center, a sauna and a steam bath.
The operator of the IBB Andersia Hotel is IBB Hotels, a company that also operates the Lublinianka Grand Hotel in Lublin. The Von der Heyden Group is an international investor and developer that has been active on the Polish market since 1989.
