Von der Heyden Group has started its new four-star hotel development in Poland - Długi Targ Hotel Project in Gdańsk. The company recently won a tender organized by Millennium Bank and acquired a prestigious property at the corner of historical Długi Targ Boulevard and ul. Mieszańska. The property consists of three semidetached historical city houses. Von der Heyden Group plans to convert the buildings into a four-star deluxe boutique hotel, after a thorough refurbishment that is planned to start in autumn of 2006 and will last until winter 2007. The total area is approximately 2,500 sqm. The market value upon completion is an estimated €7.5 IzŁ.30) million. Von der Heyden Group, which in Poland has so far developed Grand Hotel Lublinianka in Lublin and Andersia Tower in Poznań, began investing in Poland in the early 1990s.
